Thank you so very much for your work!
In only 5 weeks Huey has absolutely enhanced our lives and our house. What a wonderful, loving,
well-behaved, and eager to please dog. We absolutely LOVE him more than we could have imagined.
He has fit right in to our family right away including charming our two female Bichons who we expected
to be skeptical. He is also a walking billboard for your website and efforts and has generated a lot of interest!
Thanks so much!
With love and gratitude,
Frank, Susan, Madeline and Megan McDermott
Dear Ron and Danny,
You can't see all of the print on the bed--it says If my wishes would come true, bones will rain from the sky Guinness is the most loving little dog ever. He plays non stop with Ginger, George doesn't care and then he plays with Morris the cat. He's almost housetrained-- the pool cage confuses him greatly! We fenced the back yard after we got him-- so he has a big yard with a hill (yes on a South Florida island!!!!!) and a lovely live oak surrounded by bougainvilleas with lots of gecko-- only the gecko population is in deep decline. He's quite the gecko hunter! He's a wonderful bed dog and has adapted quite nicely to the couches, and yes is also a lap dog! And what a watch dog!!!! And smart! And self entertaining as well!
We love him to pieces---so glad we dragged him out of that stall.
Thanks for all you do-- Debi and Richard Jaynes

Danny and Ron,
As you know from John, "Operation Moe" is now complete and we couldn't be happier with him. You were absolutely right when you said he was sweet tempered and easy going. He walked into the house for the first time like he has lived here his whole life and only seems a little concerned when John or I leave the room- I can't blame him, he was in 3 different homes on his way here. We have him scheduled for a vet visit tomorrow, and will begin heartworm treatment as soon as possible. We'll keep you posted about his treatment, but in the interim, know that you made one whole family very happy and we are now complete. Moe will always be well cared for and loved in his new forever home.
Thanks isn't enough, but for lack of anything better, thank you for all you do.
Sincerely,
Teresa Moore
Hi. Here is a picture of Casey frolicking on vacation in Vermont.
She is the most loving, loyal, wonderful dog. We couldn't imagine
another dog fitting into our lives so seamlessly. Thank you so much
for having such a wonderful program that you run that allowed us to
adopt her.

Dearest Ron and Danny:
I want to update you (and my note) re Glory Be:
My dearest sweet Ms Glory is about is nearly the most fantastic small creature to ever grace my life. My Jack Russell Bridey plays with her constantly. Baxter is coming around to enjoying her antics (on our long walks) - he will love her too – maybe, however, only after she stops trying to bite his ears LOL – but it will come! I am so smitten that I have decided I cannot allow a stranger to watch over her on a long planned trip to CA, so she is coming with me. She will visit Thermal and a show in Sacramento, and Santa Barbara AND Los Angeles. We are both quite excited! She will be a well traveled Ms. Glory Be!!!! We shall try to take pictures ala “where in the world is Ms Glory Be now” LOL
Love

Hello, I adopted Bruno at Deep Run in June and i just wanted to send you a few pictures and let you know how wonderful he is!
Peter is one of the happiest dogs I've ever met. He can't go outside without strangers telling him he's the cutest thing in the world. He's absolutely wonderful :) I've attached some photos of him as a puppy (hard not recognize him - he's very unique looking!) and some more recent photos of him (9 mos old now). The last photo is him with his best friend Frank the min pin. By best friend, I mean favorite chew toy of course!
Hope to see you guys at another horse show soon!
Danny,
We just wanted to update you on Wilbur. He is simply the best! He has adjusted well to his new home and is getting all the love and attention he could hope for. How could anyone not love this little fellow! He loves to cuddle with us, loves to get dressed up, and loves to play in the afternoons. He goes to work with us each day (we own an Ace Hardware store) and spends his days in the office or on the sales floor when we are not working in the office. Everyone that comes in just loves him and I fear he is becoming more spoiled with each passing day.
I don't think we could have found a more perfect addition to our family. We took him this evening to visit Moon Pie and Lynne (our neighbors.) Lynne said you would enjoy seeing some pictures of Wilbur, so I am attaching them to this email.
Again, thank you so much for giving us Willlllllllllbur! He is loved so much!

Dear Danny and Ron,
We cannot thank you enough for all the loving work you do for our animal kingdom. The poor critters have a hard time dealing with humans and need all the help they can get.
We adopted Sally (formerly known as Lady Wednesday) in January from the Northeast Animal Shelter in Massachusetts, and discovered that she had come from your rescue. We spoke to Ron back then and learned that our little gem found shelter with you for 4 months and had been saved from being a bait dog. She came into your care on the very same day that our beloved dog, Buddy, died from cancer at age 13. We are extremely grateful to you for taking care of Sally and feel very lucky to have her in our lives.
Sally is truly a joy. She is the most affectionate dog we have ever met. She is the ultimate cuddler and kisser. It didn’t take her long to leap into our hearts. (In fact, when one of us lies down she leaps to our side for snuggles and belly rubs!) She is a great companion and the perfect fit for us.
Every morning we go to the beach with our other rescued dog Trout. They climb all over us with excitement while we put our shoes on. Then they full sprint to the beach to look for other dogs. Despite looking like a mini black lab she doesn’t like to swim, but loves to play. Our evening walk is through the neighborhood where she looks for all her new friends. Everyone who meets Sally instantly loves her.
Sally comes when we call; you say “wait” and she stops in her tracks. She is very intelligent. She learned to roll over, sit, down, and give a paw in one day. She is very good at catching food in her mouth. She wants nothing more than to make her people happy and she does a great job at it!
We wish there were more caring people like you on this planet. It must be hard for you to fall in love with these unfortunate little souls, and not be able to keep them all. Rest assured Sally has found a great home. We are completely in love with her and she is with us too!
Thank you both from the bottom of our hearts and special thanks from our dear Sally.
We will love her forever.
Marie and Dave Wentling,
Sally and Trout too

I love him and he has adjusted very nicely.... I shower him with love and lots of kisses...:):)

Dear Uncle Ron & Uncle Danny
I want to let you know that I have been living with my Mom & Dad now for almost two years and they are really fun. I love to go to the dog park here in Southern Pines. I really love going to the Horse Shows to see everybody. Since my sister Hazel has gone to Heaven it has been a little lonely but there is just a lot of love here. And I still cuddle up against Gretel She's 14 now and my mentor.
Two years goes by so fast but finally Mom sent in a picture of me to post on your website... Finally. I think personally the "rents" are tickled I came to live with them It's just the name that is so funny but after all as I came as boy to them and oops I'm not a boy... Ida B a girl and that's just fine with them/
Thanks for finding me my forever home. I was so young I hardly remember. They still always want to hold me. They just think my chow lips are too cute. My Vet calls me Angelina and Mom's renamed me Ida Beatrice Princess of Lithuania and she thinks that is so cute! Right!!!
Love Ida.... see you Soon
Dear Ron and Danny,
Thank you, thank you for my little Sketch! He is such a bundle of joy and energy! He is so full of life, I think he was born with springs for
legs! After my beloved Jack Russell, Jack, passed in March (a precious gift from you, Ron, over 17 years ago), you both knew the deep sadness in my heart and were on the lookout for just the right dog to fill that canine void in my life. Boy, did you make the perfect match with Sketch! He's fit right in and is packed with love and affection! I can't take him any place without people telling me what a cute dog he is! And he's very smart! We've already started a little obedience training and I think an agility course is in his future! You two have a knack for putting the right dogs with the right people and saving lives at the same time (that would be both canine and human ones, if you know what I mean)! Thank you for blessing my life with Sketch! We are a match full of love!
Keep up the great work!
I'm SO proud of you both! "Love you guys!"
Hey Ron, Danny, Elena, & Karen,
Just wanted to let you know how great Rosie is doing! She is one of the nicest, sweetest, and smartest dogs we have ever had. She became a member of the family instantly. She is well loved by our family and accepted by our other pets. We are so thankful that she found us through your organization. Keep up the good work!

Ron-I adopted Luke (Flat coat retriever) in Aiken last March and he has been absolutely wonderful! You said on facebook that you would like a short note and some pictures of him!
We adopted Luke Bryan (named after the country singer) in March 2009 and he instantly became a member of the family! Our two other dogs instantly fell in love with him! He has been a great family dog and can make anyone smile! He loves to cuddle on the couch (even though the other dogs aren't allowed to, he's just too cute to make him get off) and will do anything for a tummy rub! Luke also loves playing at the barn and gives my horse kisses... and gets them back too! We are so grateful for all the great things Danny and Ron do, and for bringing Luke into our lives!
Thank you so much!!!

Hi Danny and Ron, Its been a year and a half since you placed me with my new Mom. She has sent some pictures here of me playing with my best friend Lizzie who lives next door. I get to go to her barn everyday and play with other dogs as well. I have a great life and thought I would share some of my pictures of me. My Mom is totally in love with me and lets me snuggle with her all the time. She wants to Thank you for hooking us up together. Her neighbor bought a calendar for here and she went on your web site and seen the picture of me. So she decided to contact you and send this for me since she has not trained me yet to type on the computer. I hope all the strays are finding good homes like me. Take Care and Thanks again:-)

On November 9, 2008, I was minding my own business watching the five year old jumpers at the Raleigh show when Jake came into the coliseum. It was love at first sight! January 9 will be two months since Jake came to live on my farm. He is an amazing addition and we all love him so much. He goes everywhere with me and loves to ride in my truck, go on trail rides, and play with his brothers and sister. Thank you so much for rescuing him and for letting me adopt him. Danny and Ron:
We just wanted to thank you for brining Penny in to our lives.
Our other two doxies, both rescues, welcomed her in to our home. They bring us so much joy!
Thank you for the great work that you done.
Sincerely,
Ann Thal and Julie Evonna
ps. enclosed are some family dog photos...weren't able to get the cats to join in!
Hi!
We just wanted to give you guys an update on Brenda (now Trinity) whom we adopted from you last October. She is absolutely one of the most amazing dogs and has grown to be a loyal, playful companion to us and our other dog Skeeter. She is in the process of becoming a Canine Good Citizen and starting some agility, which she is excelling in. I've attached some pictures for you to see her now. She's a goof ball and spoiled rotten princess, but we wouldn't of wanted it any other way.
Thanks for all you guys do,
Eugene and Sarah Doss
Dear Danny and Ron,
I wanted to let you know about Ben, an adorable little puppy that we received from you through Chris Chance. Chris got Ben at the Sedgefield Horse Show in Greensboro NC, Sept. 2008. He came from the Walter Crowe Animal Shelter in Camden, SC. The moment I saw him I fell in love! I was not looking for another pet, I have a dog, 2 cats, a turtle and 16 Koi fish. That day was Sept 10, 2008 and my dad's birthday, he had recently passed away in may and I was kind of sad that day and I know he sent Ben to me. My dad loved dogs. Ben has become our other dog Isabel's buddy, our cats accept him and my husband and children adore him. He was quite scared at first and still runs and hides when it gets too loud. He is so sweet, gentle and loving. He runs and greets us barking happily when we get home. He loves to tear around the back yard and play with us. He is such a happy boy and a welcome addition to our family. We are very grateful to have him. Thank you for all you do.

Hi Ron and Danny-
We thought you might like a quick update on Gracious Day who now goes by the name of Doodlebug to fit in with the rest of bug-y named pets here. First of all, Danny was right, Doodlebug fits her much better than Honeybee; although she is sweet as she can be, she is also quite a character and a little "roly-poly". Just as you said, she loves to play ball either with you or all by herself, rolling, scooting and bouncing right along with the ball. She has taken over all the dog toys in the house and amuses our older dog, Cricket, by pouncing on the big stuffed toys and hauling them back to "her" bed (which is actually Cricket's bed) Cricket and I are practically mesmerized by her antics and we feel very sorry for Claudia, Emma and Dad who miss so much action while they are away at school and work. She has settled in very well and enjoys going for a short morning walk on the leash, playing in the back yard and meeting all of our friends. She sleeps through the night and never cries. I've attached some photos of her - one of them is Doodlebug on Cricket's bed and poor Cricket trying to fit on Doodlebug's bed!
Thanks so much for bringing her to Raleigh for us - she's the best birthday present a girl could ever have!
Warmest Regards,
Rebecca and Claudia Fass
p.s.- I'm sending a donation to you in the mail. I hope it covers her vet bills and then some.
Greetings Danny and Ron,
Thank you so much for Raisin. She is my new best friend and we are getting along great. Attached is her picture. She is full of life and energy. She and I want to thank you for all you do for the dogs. Mary Beebee
